(Toronto, ON) The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) will close early bird pricing this Friday for the 95th Annual IBAO Convention taking place in Toronto from October 21 – 23, 2015 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel. This year’s event theme is #OWNit, continuing the 2015 message of the current IBAO President, Michael Brattman. IBAO’s Convention has set the standard for providing the most powerful networking opportunity available to member brokers, industry leaders and service industry partners.

IBAO’s Convention is Canada’s largest insurance event of the year. Close to 2,500 people are expected to attend this year, with the exhibition hall housing the largest number of exhibitors ever displayed in Convention history.

This year is especially exciting as members will have the opportunity to meet the IBAO’s new CEO, Jim Murphy as he joins the IBAO team for his first ever Convention.

Additional highlights include:

* October 21: Lloyds sponsors the infamous Opening Night Party.

* October 22: Keynote speaker Scott Stratten: named one of the “Top Five Social Media Influencers in the World” on Forbes.com – is an “unmarketer” and an expert in viral, social and authentic marketing.

* October 22: CEO Panel: high-profile company executives share their views of the current landscape and their vision for the future of the industry. Moderated by George Cooke, former long-term CEO of The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company.

* October 23: BIP Talks – a full day of education with ten industry experts and educators from around the world delivering 30-minute sessions throughout the course of the day. Inspired by TED Talks, BIP Talks has a similar philosophy where delegates will be able to sit in on short and powerful sessions covering a range of relevant topics.

* October 23: The Awards of Excellence Gala, awarding Ontario’s best-in-class brokers in a number of categories.
