Get Involved

We invest way too much time in our careers
not to be fully engaged in our business and
in our industry.

Communities are always looking for the next generation of industry leaders.

Join IBAO

If you have a passion for the brokerage community and want to drive innovative solutions on behalf of the industry, consider a volunteer opportunity.

Working Group

You provide us with the scoop, the honest feedback and your experiences in the ever-changing work of a broker. You’re our focus group. Your involvement allows us to institute needed change, respond to emerging threats and improve member satisfaction. You understand the day-to-day of your brokerage and provide us direction, and by extension, you provide direction to our member base. Working group meets three times a year in Toronto.

I want in

Technology Committee

You promote a common understanding of the issues related to broker technologies, and help us take action to drive change. This committee meets ad-hoc as issues arrive, and meetings are held virtually.

I love technology

Political Action Volunteers

You’re our grassroots messengers to local politicians. You help us identify political issues – federally, provincially, municipally. You connect the dots between the association position paper and the action, and you’re asked to meet with politicians to deliver key messages. Volunteers meet ad-hoc and are part of a communication network on our political advocacy work.

I’ll Represent

Affiliates

You’re looking to get involved at a local level with your industry peers. Learn how you can contribute to event planning, communications and leadership initiatives at the Executive and President level. Each affiliate in Ontario (all 43 of them) needs leaders at every level.

Facilitators

You’re fun, enthusiastic and jumping up and down to share your knowledge with everyone you know. We’re always looking for facilitators to instruct brokers on a variety of skills – whether you have a love for commercial or personal lines or a sure-fire technique to ensure clients are receiving the right type of coverage, we want your expertise.

I Want to Apply
